About our Pastor
Ryan Day is a native of Westminster, Maryland, where he grew up in a Christian home. He came to Grace Baptist Church in 1999 and was ordained to gospel ministry in 2000. He began his ministry here as Associate Pastor alongside Rev. Stan McMinn, and then Rev. Rick Crookshank. In September of 2004, Pastor Day was invited to become the church’s Interim Pastor, and he was called as Senior Pastor in January of 2005.
Pastor Day is a 1998 graduate of Baptist Bible College of Clarks Summit, Pennsylvania (now Clarks Summit University), where he majored in Bible and Pastoral Studies. In 2005 he graduated Magna Cum Laude from Baptist Bible Seminary with the Master of Ministry degree in theological studies. He is presently engaged in doctoral studies (D.Min) from Baptist Bible Seminary.
Pastor Day has a genuine heart for God and a shepherd’s love for the local church. He is committed to expository preaching by which the whole counsel of God’s Word is brought to bear on the hearts and minds of listeners. His first loves include God’s Word, theology, and history– and in his spare time he enjoys sports-talk radio as well as Christian and presidential biographies. For six years he served as the head coach of the boys basketball team at Immanuel Christian School, Hazleton.
Since 2016, Pastor Day has also been a monthly contributor to FaithZette, the faith section of the LifeZette website founded by conservative radio-host and Fox News contributor, Laura Ingraham. His monthly articles address various topics related to Bible doctrine, marriage, family, and Christian worldview. When not ministering at the church, enjoying time with his family, writing, or coaching youth sports, you can find Pastor Day backpacking on the Appalachian Trail or canoeing at a local state park. Pastor Day is married to Heather and they have five handsome sons, and one beautiful daughter.
